Valuable books and archives

The National Bank museum has a library that documents the museum collection. It contains works on numismatics, the history of money and banking, economic and financial history, and the iconography of Belgium and the Belgian cities.

Most of the volumes date from the 19th and 20th centuries but the book collection also contains a limited number of older editions. The National Bank’s historical archive is also part of the museum collection.

The thirty oldest, illustrated books date from the 16th century (pdf – 22k)
