The Week of Money is an initiative of Wikinfin.be, in collaboration with De Tijd, Radio 1 and several other partners including the National Bank of Belgium. The aim is to make money debatable and to call for attention to financial formation. During the entire week, there will be lots of activities focusing on education and making a broader public aware of financial topics.
The Museum of the National Bank of Belgium also takes part in it. Monday the 14th of March from 7.30am till 6pm, you can visit us at the info market in front of the Brussels Central Station. There, you will learn everything about the euro coins and notes. How can you distinguish between real and fake notes? Come to practise the “feel, look and tilt” method on your euro notes. Furthermore, the museum organises a competition where your knowledge of the euro coins in your wallet will be tested. Not so easy, because the 19 euro countries bring a widespread variation. Did you succeed the test? Then the museum will have a pleasant surprise for you! Thus, pay a visit to the info booth of the National Bank on Monday the 14th of March between 7.30am and 6pm and get an answer to all your questions.
