Salle 5
The National Bank has been Belgium’s central bank since 1850 and participates since 1999 in the monetary policy of the Eurosystem. Maintaining monetary and financial stability is key to a central bank. Ensuring a reliable and secure payment system, issuing banknotes and coins and acting as information and research centre are just some of the additional duties of the National Bank of Belgium.
